PETLIBRO Dockstream 2: What to Know
This is the plug-in version of PETLIBRO's second-generation Dockstream, not the cordless battery model the brand also sells under a nearly identical name. It holds 3 liters (101oz) in a lower reservoir topped by a removable stainless steel tray, and it connects to a phone app over 5GHz WiFi so you can see daily water usage and get low-water or filter-change alerts instead of guessing.
The stainless tray is the part your cat actually drinks from, which addresses a common complaint about all-plastic fountains, while the reservoir and housing underneath are plastic like most fountains in this price range. PETLIBRO recommends swapping the filter roughly every two weeks for a single cat, more often if multiple pets share it, and the app is built to remind you when that's due rather than leaving it to memory.
Where it falls short for some households: the Dockstream 2 identifies and logs one pet at a time. If you have two or more cats and want to know which one is drinking less, PETLIBRO sells a separate RFID-tag version built for that; this model will just show combined usage. It also assumes you're comfortable setting up a WiFi device and account for a water bowl, which not every owner wants.
