Dyson Purifier Cool TP07: What to Know
Unlike the other four purifiers here, the TP07 is built first as a bladeless cooling fan (Dyson's Air Multiplier design) with HEPA H13 and activated carbon filtration, branded "360° Combi Glass HEPA and Carbon", added on top, rated to capture 99.97% of particles down to 0.3 microns. Dyson does not prominently publish an AHAM-style CADR figure on its own US product materials the way Coway, Blueair, and Levoit do, which makes direct comparison harder than it should be for a purifier at this price.
That gap shows up clearly in the research: some sources circulate CADR-style figures of roughly 240/210/180 for dust/pollen/smoke without specifying test standard or units clearly, which may reflect m³/h rather than the cfm/AHAM figures used for the other purifiers in this guide. Independent lab testing by HouseFresh, using a consistent cfm-based PM1 methodology, measured a top-speed CADR of only about 94 cfm (58 cfm within its sub-45 dB quiet range) and an AHAM-style PM2.5 dust CADR of 89.8 cfm, meaningfully lower than the higher numbers commonly repeated online, and lower in absolute terms than every other purifier in this comparison despite the TP07's much higher price. We were not able to resolve this discrepancy against Dyson's own site, which blocked automated access during this research pass, so treat any single CADR-style number for this model with caution until you confirm the test standard behind it.
Independent noise testing measured 38.9 dB at the lowest of four speeds, climbing to 56 dB at the top speed, measured at 3 feet. The MyDyson app adds remote monitoring, scheduling, Alexa/Google/Siri voice control, and historical air-quality data on top of the physical magnetic remote; none of that requires Wi-Fi for the fan or filter to function. Genuine replacement filters are rated for about 12 months and run roughly $79.99/year, with aftermarket alternatives around $35-40.
One distinction worth knowing: this is the plain TP07, not the TP09/Cryptomic variant in Dyson's lineup, which adds a dedicated formaldehyde sensor and a catalytic filter designed to break down formaldehyde continuously. The TP07 senses and reports standard particulate and VOC air quality but does not include that formaldehyde-specific hardware. We were also unable to independently verify a current product photo for this exact listing during this research pass, so no image is shown here pending confirmation.
